I’m not sure which part was weirder—that it had taken me so long to find someone I was that serious about, or that it had even happened to me at all.

Victor Bayne and Jacob Marks are living together and things are a mess: tons of boxes lying around and useful things cannot be found. Victor is supposed to organize everything since he has time off from work but let’s face it, he is a lazy beauty and we all know it. Jacob knew it; in fact, I don’t think he was surprised that Vic didn’t do much to take their stuff out the boxes. He’s just like me, a master procrastinator.
When things go well you know that bad things are just around the corner and, guess what? That’s exactly what happened. And when things go bad guess who is always in the middle of it all? Yeah, that’s right, it’s Crash. I already didn’t like him and now my feelings towards him are even worse.
Jacob brushed my hair off my forehead and stared down at me like he was about to scoop me up in his arms and ride off into the sunset with me.
I want to blame him for what’s going on Vic’s mind every time they talk or see each other. I want to blame him real bad and I hope he stops whatever he’s doing because as much as I trust Vic and his perverted mind, sometimes we are weak when we’re not at our best and I really really really don’t want him to make mistakes he will certainly regret. Because he will regret it and he knows it! Jacob is a great guy, not flawless but they are perfect for each other.
“You need to take a bath in High John the Conqueror, make sure you clean and all your thoughts be pure.” Pure? Oh, great. I’d be in the tub until April.
This book’s mystery/crime is a tough one and, as the title suggests, this book contains many secrets that will come out and many that still needs to be uncovered. Like Vic or his friends at Camp Hell not being online, or the weird cops following Vic around when he works a difficult case. As much as I understood the reason they didn’t want to publicly reveal Vic’s identity for his safety, they at least could’ve told him all of that. I think he would’ve understood.
I don’t know if I’m ready to read about what went down in Camp Hell and all the bad stuff they did to my Victor, but I want him to face what happened and come out stronger, for Jacob, for his relationship, but above all for himself because he deserves all the best and right now he feels unworthy of the happiness and maybe he will unwillingly sabotage it. Victor needs cuddles, hugs and a happily ever after.
