It was very interesting, very peculiar, and since it was short, we had to get used to the new reality of the aliens pretty fast. Many fast forwards through the story so we really didn’t see or were explained much about how the aliens started their silent invasion.
Trina has her world turned upside down not only because of the seep, this alien entity that it’s consumed through water and lives in you making you better, but because her wife decided she wanted to start over, to go back to being a child again, a newborn and grow up. Somehow resetting her life.
Of course Trina was devastated and she needed to move on, grief in a healthier way, and start seeing how to live her life without her wife. Took her a few years, a quest, a very nosy alien entity in the shape of a pamphlet (that Trina called Pam), and a random boy looking for trouble.
It was a very fast read and hopeful. I kinda liked the aliens Earth. No need for money, immortality, health. Nice!
